There seems to be a misunderstanding. I am not talking about the connection between air cleaner and carburetor. There is an air intake hood over the exhaust manifold to get preheated air in winter I guess. This hood, called air cleaner duct, has some clamps underneath. I just don’t know if these clamps are to fix a heat shield mat or are they a kind of spacer to the surface of the manifold?
Hope it is not more abstruse now.

Thank you for your information! Your are right, it is a vacuum reserve tank. The “oil” is just the condensate of fuel and oil dust decanted over the last 60 years …
