Caution on anyone responding fto classified ads requesting money (especially from England)

 

There have been a lot of scam artists(see example below from mark peter <donnamark2009@gmail.com>

 

Dear valued client,i am Mrs Donna mark from spain.i saw your advert

for wanting to purchase the product in the above subject.i kindly want

to inform you that i have that product for sale, even with all its

spares and parts.i will love you to reply this

email as soon as possible so i verify your seriousness as to purchasing

the product,as i have other buyers whom are bidding for the same

product,you will be required to send your complete home or residential

address because i will be needing such details so i calculate the

shipping cost to your door steep,i receive payment through

paypal,liberty reserve account or western union money transfer, any of

this option which is best convenient for you will be appreciated.

I advertised on here for bumper bolts and brake cable for my 49 Merc.  It is the only place I’ve advertised.  I have received similar emails from England and Sweden for the parts.  Since no one I’ve contacted had the bumper bolts and I’m told only one company makes them and they are back ordered over a month now, I couldn’t believe they would have them.

I have tried them and they no longer make the bumper bolts and my understanding is they are no longer making the tail light lens.  The only place that has the bumper bolts is: <cite>http://www.ccrod.com/pdffiles/ccrcatalog.pdf </cite>
