    Can someone tell me what the original 1954 Mercury hardtop coupe trunk mat was made of and what it looked like? I recall it being a vinyl or rubber mat with a gray and black plaid finish. Some say it was a plain black rubber mat. If it was a plain black rubber mat maybe the trunk cardboard liner was a gray and black plaid.
