I do believe that they just twist off. There isn’t a push in to it. It simply twists off. It may be a little rusty but with a little work it will come off. I also have a 64 Mercury Marauder with the upgraded steering wheel although it is still in storage for a couple more weeks. Once out I can definitely check it out on mine.
