For anyone interested, I have also discovered that the stamped pattern in the front passenger side toe board of the 1955 Mercury is different than that of a 1955 Ford. A Ford has a stamping resembling an upside down V while my Dad’s 1955 Montclair has something that looks more like a reversed capital N. I am hopefully going to be able to locate floors and toeboard sections from a rustfree 1955 Mercury for replacement since no one is making the specific Mercury reproductions. I have contacted some of the western salvage yards in Hemmings and may have a line on some although they are rather expensive. Anyone have any suggestions who to contact?
