Dear IMOA Members,
The reason for this letter to all of our membership is to inform you that we will be changing the number of issues of Quicksilvers we will be mailing during the course of the year. We were mailing 4 issues (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Due to dwindling membership not only in IMOA, but collector clubs all over the US, Canada and Europe we are forced to make this adjustment
The 3 issues will be as follows: November Fall/Winter, March Spring and Summer mailed in July.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Rising costs to publish Quicksilver and the costs to maintain IMOA are on the rise. In the past year we have lost over 9% of our membership.
Please try to help us acquire new members. The next time you see anyone with a Mercury enlist them to join IMOA

The 2026 IMOA Show will be held in Dearborn, MI Wednesday 10 8/6/26 to 8/9/26 Watch for more details in an upcoming Quicksilver
The show will be Saturday 8/9/26 at the Gateway Classic Car Dealership
Mike O’Hagan wrote the following article, which will appear in the Fall/Winter Quicksilver
As a member and an official of IMOA, I had
the honor and privilege of organizing the events of our upcoming August 2026 event. This is my first time organizing a show so I have had an “on the job” great experience! First I wish to acknowledge the assistance I had from people such as our club president Jerry Robbin, also a gentleman at Ford who supports car clubs, our Board members, a lady with a company who negotiates hotel contracts and also those people who organize and publish our club magazine! I could not have organized the events without everyone’s valuable assistance! THIS EVENT WILL BE A GREAT TIME!
Our host hotel specializes in hosting car clubs and has done so many times. It is very roomy with a large lobby lounge area, nice rooms, complimentary breakfast, a roped off area for our cars etc. There is room for approx. 8 trailers. As with all of our annual events, everyone is wanted and welcome to join in on our “CIRCLE OF FRIENDS” socializing events that take place every evening in a dedicated sitting area outside of the hotel (or dedicated area inside if rain) to socialize and to “talk Mercury”
Thursday Aug 6 we will start by visiting the Roush Collection of cars. From there we will meet at the
Michigan Flight Museum to view the vintage aircraft they have there!
Friday Aug 7 we will begin by meeting at Henry Ford Museum where we will purchase tickets and board busses for a 20 minute ride to tour the Ford Rouge Truck Assembly Plant, tour at our own pace, then we will board busses to return to Henry Ford Museum to tour there.
There is a limited menu “Michigan Cafe” inside a Henry Ford Museum for lunch.
Saturday Aug 8 is our annual Mercury show! It will be held at Gateway Classic Cars showroom in which we will also tour the facility during the show and view the classics they have there for sale!
Awards presentation will be at 2 pm. Followed by
dinner at 3:45 pm at the famous Fords Garage automobile themed restaurant!
Be sure to register early as it promises to be an
event every Mercury owner and enthusiast will not want to miss!
