Does anyone live near Decatur, Il? I promised a girl that I would drive her and her new husband away from the church in my 51. Well, my 51 has decided to be a 60 year old bitch and not do it. Between the newly rebuilt starter that won't start the car, and the radiator that has all of a sudden decided that it won't cool the engine, and a couple other problems that have cropped up since I started working on these problems, I have run out of time. If any of you would be able to bail me out on Saturday Oct 8, about 7 PM, please call me at 217-763-5691

Wow, as I "feared" NO responses to any of my posts from the past 24 hours...and it looks like NO activity at all either. If this doesn't improve I'm afraid this new "Forum" will just atrophy and die... (Why did we really have to "lose" the "Old/Original Forum" anyway again??) Again, thanks for "listening!" Have a good Veteran's Day Weekend everyone.

AGREED! But what happened?? Seems like MONTHS go by before anyone responds to posts??? I see only a handful of us on here now it seems -- MAYBE an article/editorial REMINDER in 'QUICKSILVER' to "re-introduce" Members to this new Forum and format???....

It looks to me like the people who post here have serious questions, and do not post simply to fill space. I think that is good, as opposeed to some of the personal insults I see posted elsewhere. Let's keep up the high level of discourse on this site.

I am the webmaster for Mercuryland and prepare a calendar page each month featuring a photo of a 1949 - 60 Mercury; block stock or custom. We are also working on building a library of video technical discussions. We only have four so far related to the carburetor and choke on 49 - 51 Mercurys.

We are charter members of IMOA and invite you to send us pictures or ideas that we can use in the future.
